Like most of the boybands in Japan (SMAP, Kinki Kids, Winds, Kat Tun, Taki & Tsubasa, News, Tokio), V6 are managed by Johnny's Entertainment. Run by Johnny Kitagawa, the management office is one of the toughest in Japan and has a stranglehold on much of the media due to the high demand for their product. There have been many allegations over the years, but I won't go into them here as you can probably imagine what they were and how they were covered up.

More recently, Okada from the group did some sexy shots for the women's mag An-An. Many young stars are taking this route and Shingo Katori and Takuya Kimura from boyband SMAP have both posed for the same mag.
