Real life waterboys

Thanks to Bob who sent the link to these pics from a real high school synchro swim team. I haven't had a chance to look for more teams yet, but I'll post them if I find any good pics. It is so cute that synchro has become a cool thing for boys to do in school...

LOOOOVE it! Lol. I saw the movie, but didn't put 2+2 together that this had become a relatively popular activity among high-schoolers. By the way, I noticed that the team on the website called themselves "waterboys," like in the movie of the same name. Is that one of the words they use to describe boys who do synchronized swimming?

"Waterboy" swim teams are one of Japan's greatest sources of scenic beauty, to my way of thinking. The televised annual competition for best team is a significant improvement over the usual evening fare, and some of those boys are, as a friend of mine in New York used to say: "to die for." Thanks for publishing the photos.
