It has been quite a week for celeb scandals in Japan, what with Noriko Sakai (NoriP) doing a runner with her kid after the police found drugs at her house and then hottie Manabu Oshio getting arrested after the woman he was taking drugs with at a swanky Roppongi Hills apartment was found dead. He reckons he fled the scene because he was scared (read the story here). Although he is married with a small kid, he'd been living apart from his wife for the last 6 months and obviously taking advantage of that to have a good time. Already his official blog has been taken down and his commercials pulled, Avex have also canceled his contract -- that's all before he has even really been charged with any crime. I doubt there will be any speedy commercial rehabilitation for either of these two celebs as there has been for Kate Moss and a host of other Western celebs caught with drugs.
